Part time Event Server

Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for Part Time Event Servers in Toledo, OH. As a Part-Time Event Server for Cardinal Staffing, you will work in a fast-paced environment and be involved in all aspects of event operations for a local company.

Job Summary

The primary role of a Part Time Server is (but not limited to) to provide superior, professional food and beverage service to members and their guests. It is the server’s responsibility to be event ready in properly set up all tables before every event and assist in the tear down after the event is completed. To ensure a smooth-running event, please use all the appropriate items needed ie., BEOs and Liquor Inventory sheets, communicating with other servers, kitchen personnel and the manager-on-duty. An integral part of the server’s position is to provide support and assistance to other servers when and wherever needed if possible.

Hands must be washed frequently. Wearing of latex service gloves is permitted but should be changed frequently. Hands must be washed before new gloves are in service.

It is imperative that servers familiarize themselves with the company’s large facility including main dining room, main kitchen, grillroom, banquet rooms, banquet kitchens, offices, storage areas and staff.

Available shifts include adjust schedule based on events throughout the week and weekend.

Essential Job Duties:

Before checking the schedule to determine which room a server has been assigned, a server must make sure that they are professional looking with a clean pressed full uniform, name tag.
Review daily specials and/or BEO’s and be able to answer members’ questions, if asked.
Inventory all serving utensils, dinnerware and miscellaneous supplies needed for each event and have them clean, available and ready for use. All event spaces should be guest ready 30 minutes before start time on BEO.
Check table settings to be correct, all silver and glassware cleaned and polished. Butters, creamers, and dressings, etc. all on drop plates. Leaving space for centerpiece.
Provide immediate attention to members and their guests upon entry into event space.
Menus placed after seating; Member menu – Guest Menu. Take member/guest orders and suggestive sell. Service – from the Left: Deliveries, to the Right: Removal
Replenish water glasses with water/ice and replenish butters and rolls as needed.
Make tray jacks available as All food and beverage items must be served from trays.
Serve coffee in glass pots in the dining room and thermal pots in banquet rooms unless otherwise instructed.
Check back to ensure member/guest satisfaction. Ask about or present dessert menus.
**Read the members and/or their guests, if they are looking around the room, go over to their table and fulfill any request they may have for additional service.
Remove soiled linen and replace with clean linen, but first remove any items on table, i.e. salt & pepper shakers by placing on a tray.
Reset tables with clean and polished silverware, glassware and clean linen, for next guest or event.
Keep floors clean and safe in the dining room immediately wiping up any spilled items.
Return all dirty dishes, glassware and silver to dishwasher, 3rd Floor. Glassware racked, plateware scraped & stacked and silver in a bus tub in water to soak. Do Not leave are untidy.
