Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Fabrication Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Brooklyn Park, MN. In this role, you will safely fit, position, and weld metal components according to engineering drawings, fabrication specifications, and workmanship standards.
This position is ideal for candidates with prior welding or fabrication experience who enjoy hands-on work, take pride in producing quality welds, and thrive in a production-driven environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform MIG welding, fit-up, and fabrication tasks according to AWS and company standards
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications including metric measurements and GD&T
• Set up fixtures and weld components using welding guns, cutting torches, carbon arc equipment, and fabrication tools
• Perform grinding, flame cutting, and arc gouging as needed
• Coordinate work activities to support production schedules and deadlines
• Assist with material movement between fabrication and paint departments
• Complete electronic and manual production documentation accurately
• Operate robotic welding equipment and complete required safety and equipment inspections
• Identify and communicate fabrication issues while recommending corrective actions and process improvements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
• Work effectively both independently and within a team setting

Requirements
• Previous MIG welding experience OR completion/in-progress completion of a welding trade school or technical program
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in heavy equipment, fabrication, or crane manufacturing
• Experience using grinders, chisels, tip cleaners, and additional fabrication tools
• Experience using cutting torches and carbon arc gouging equipment
• Familiarity with GD&T principles
• Comfortable using computers for production transactions and documentation
• Understanding of metric measurement systems

Physical Requirements
• Frequent exposure to welding fumes and industrial noise levels of 85 dB or greater
• Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended shifts with minimal breaks
• Ability to climb ladders, lifts, and manufacturing equipment
• Frequent kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, twisting, and working in awkward positions
• Frequent repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and rotational motions
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and industrial environments
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and hoists
• Use of fine motor skills and various welding and fabrication tools

Required PPE:
Hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed/metatarsal footwear, welding jackets, chaps, welding helmet, grinding shield, and additional protective welding gear as required.
