Valdosta, GA | $13.00 / Hour
We are looking for a warehouse associate to join a team in Valdosta, GA. As a warehouse associate, you will be handling the packaging and distribution of canned goods for a well-known food bank. The company you would be working with is on a mission to combat hunger in South Georgia by utilizing a variety of methods and channels to feed those in need.
Responsibilities
- Assist in pulling orders and bringing orders out to agencies, helping with loading agency vehicles as needed
- Assist in checking out agencies when orders are ready
- Assisting the Warehouse Director in filling out daily logs
- Assist in loading and unloading inbound and outbound trucks
- Stage orders that are outbound and maintain accurate inventory count of products being shipped
- Restock and organize case products in the warehouse and salvage in the salvage shopping area
- Assist in organizing and cleanliness of warehouse, freezer, and cooler
- Responsible for policing outside grounds on a weekly basis to assist lawn care provider
Requirements
- Ability to handle food in a safe and efficient manner
- Able to work in a hot/cold warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Strict adherence to workload may be stressful
- Clean drug screen
- Willing to undergo a background check
- Must wear proper PPE: closed toe shoes, jeans or khakis, no graphic t-shirt
- Have reliable transportation and show up on time for shift
- Ability to show up on time for shift
- Good work ethic
- Customer service and communication skills
Location: Valdosta, GA
Pay Rate: $13.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 / 4:30 p.m., + occasional weekends
