Job Description
The Deduction Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and resolving customer deductions, maintaining accurate records, collaborating across departments, and supporting month-end financial processes using RetailLink.
 
Responsibilities:
  1. Review customer accounts, invoices, and payments to identify and validate deductions taken (e.g., for damaged goods, shortages, promotions, or pricing discrepancies).
  2. Investigate root causes of deductions by reviewing contracts, shipment records, promotional agreements, and communication with internal teams.
  3. Validate or dispute deductions based on company policies by providing appropriate supporting documentation.
  4. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance teams to gather necessary information and resolve issues.
  5. Maintain accurate records by documenting deduction cases and updating internal systems.
  6. Communicate with wholesale partners and retail customers to clarify discrepancies and negotiate resolutions.
  7. Analyze deduction trends and recommend process improvements. Support month-end closing by reconciling accounts receivable balances and ensuring deduction-related entries are accurate for financial reporting.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  2. Must have RetailLink experience
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the pay range for this position is $20-$25 per hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
