Industrial Housekeeper

Job Title: Industrial Housekeeper | Day Shift
Location: Houston, TX 77049
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm (30-minute lunch; hours may vary depending on cleaning area)
Pay Rate: $15/hr
Employment Type: Full-time

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Industrial Housekeeper ensures that office, shop, and apartment areas are clean, sanitary, and presentable at all times. This role supports operational efficiency and a safe working environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Remove debris from shops, driveways, and work areas
Clean offices, hallways, lobbies, break rooms, restrooms, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas
Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas
Dust and polish furniture and equipment
Vacuum and shampoo rugs, carpets, and cubicle upholstered furniture
Maintain organized and stocked storage areas and carts
Sweep, mop, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing/waxing machines
Wash windows and walls as necessary
Replenish supplies such as restroom items
Maintain apartment cleaning, including laundry, folding, and ironing
Request repair services and coordinate with repair personnel
Follow safety program requirements
Perform other duties as assigned

TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND MACHINES:

Operation of cleaning tools and equipment including mops, vacuums, brooms, powered floor machines, and laundry machines
Ability to handle business and shop-related equipment to maintain workflow

BASIS FOR QUALIFICATION:

Education: Must be able to read and write
Experience: No prior experience required
Training: Company safety training, reading materials for quality and management system familiarization, formal training with work instructions and industry standards
Capability Demonstration: Ability to perform job duties within 90 days of hire
