As the Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for organizing estimating and preconstruction activities of specific projects. The Estimator prepares accurate and well-crafted bids/proposals that result in awarded contracts that are profitable and maintain the quality expected from the NRP Group. The Estimator is also a key person in developing and nurturing relationships with our vendors and clients. The Estimator works under very tight time frames and is responsible for handling multiple bids/proposals and responsibilities simultaneously. Our client is a full service multi-family developer builder looking for someone in their Charlotte office.
Requirements
- 2-7 years experience a construction estimator
- MUST HAVE MULTI-FAMILY EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with standard construction practices, procedures, and technology required.
- Creativity, leadership abilities, and proficiency in Timberline, OST, and Microsoft Office are essential.
- Experience obtaining sub-coverage, self-performance of concrete and carpentry, and training estimators is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- The responsibilities involve reading project specifications
- Discussing bid strategies, defining subcontractors, and coordinating bid solicitations
- Setting up bid summaries and spreadsheets, pricing self-performed and subcontracted work, and improving subcontractor relationships
- Tracking Value Analysis items and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
