Commitment Typist – 1st Shift: Rockford, Illinois

We’re hiring a Commitment Typist for a full-time, first-shift position with a respected title agency in Rockford, Illinois. This role is essential for preparing accurate title commitments, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of real estate transactions. If you're a fast and precise typist with a sharp eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities of the Commitment Typist:

Accurately type title commitments based on title searches and examiner notes
Draft legal descriptions and include the correct exceptions and requirements within each commitment
Communicate with title examiners, escrow officers, underwriters, and clients to gather or clarify information
Update and revise commitments as needed throughout the transaction process
Handle all sensitive customer and property information with confidentiality and professionalism

Commitment Typist Requirements and Qualifications:

High typing speed and accuracy required
Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Prior experience in title work is a plus, but not required

Pay for Commitment Typist:

Starting at $17/hour with no experience
Higher pay available for candidates with title or commitment typing experience
