Position Details

Position: Sit-Down / Stand-Up Forklift Operator
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.72/hour
Location: Plainfield, IN

Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stage, and organize products throughout the warehouse. This role includes transporting pallets, replenishing inventory, moving products from receiving to storage locations, and preparing shipments for loading.

We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals who thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and have strong attention to detail. Candidates must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment throughout the shift.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts in a warehouse environment
Move pallets to designated staging areas for loading and shipping
Transfer products from receiving lanes to storage rack locations
Replenish pick locations and transport materials as needed
Use RF scanners to locate products, complete picks, and maintain inventory accuracy
Verify counts before and after picks to ensure order accuracy
Build and stack pallets safely according to product weight and size
Wrap pallets and properly place shipping labels before staging
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including housekeeping duties such as sweeping and removing materials as needed
Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures
Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

Recent sit-down forklift experience required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to pass a background check
Must successfully complete forklift safety training and certification

Preferred:

High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse experience is a plus
