YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY:
As an Account Consultant, you will drive business growth by developing relationships with manufacturing, warehousing, administrative, and clerical companies in your assigned territory of Columbia and Newberry, SC. Your goal is to position GPS as a trusted workforce solutions provider, helping clients overcome hiring challenges, mitigate risks, and improve workforce stability. This will involve collaboration with internal Recruiting, Corporate (Operations/Finance), Safety (Workers’ Compensation and Liability) and HR to effectively manage these functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Identify prospects to pursue, set daily prospecting schedule, establish follow up and document appropriately.
- Spend 50-75% of your time in the field prospecting to gain new customers or working with existing customers.
- Quote and negotiate pricing and delivery of services.
- Meet KPIs reviewed with Leadership weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually, including but not limited to Cold Calls (In-Person), Telephone Prospecting, E-mails, Social Media Posting and Presence, Networking Events and more.
- Cross-sell GPS’ other services and resources including but not limited to Direct Hire and Safety Consultation.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop compelling marketing messaging, continuously crafting fresh content to engage prospective and current clients on the value GPS offers.
- Review competition in the staffing industry to understand what differentiates other services from GPS.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Prefer 2-3 years of B2B sales with heavy emphasis on prospecting and cold calling.
- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis on sales and marketing is a plus.
