Responsibilities: - Clean and service food processing equipment after use and as needed.
- Remove all waste products from food production areas on a regular basis.
- Oversee timely provision and servicing of operational supplies.
- Maintain and update daily task logs completely and accurately.
- Furnish assistance to other sanitation and facility staff as necessary.
- Inspect the manufacturing process to determine sanitation protocols.
- Design and implement sanitation policies and protocols.
- Coordinate and monitor cleaning schedules.
- Create and distribute work schedules for the sanitation workers.
- Perform daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and report any irregularities.
- Disassemble, clean and sanitize all food-processing equipment, including storage areas.
- Handle all line clean ups and the documentation for clean ups.
- Enforce all safety rules and regulations.
- Monitor the inventory of cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Use USDA-approved chemicals to disinfect surfaces and sanitize all components of food production and processing equipment.
- Ensure that there is no unnecessary waste along the assembly line..
Education/Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent • 1-3 years in manufacturing/ sanitation environment preferred Physical Requirements: - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms or legs to perform job tasks.
- Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product. This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility.
- Ability to climb stairs
- The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups.
- The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties.
- Ability to work on the production floor and stand for more than two hours at a time
- Must be able to lift to 100 pounds at times.
