Position: Construction Litigation Legal Assistant

Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid after 90 days)

Salary Range: $65,000-75,000/year
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and operational support within a fast-paced legal environment. This role is responsible for managing complex calendars, supporting document production and proofreading, entering and reviewing attorney time, and assisting with billing processes. The Legal Assistant will also prepare case files for hearings, handle e-filing of pleadings with state and federal courts and manage file openings and conflict checks to ensure compliance.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a large law firm or corporate legal setting, along with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. This individual must be able to prioritize competing deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
What you will be doing:
- Scheduling and heavy calendar management
- Proofreading and providing document production services
- Entering attorney time and reviewing attorney bills
- Preparing files for hearings
- E-file pleadings and other documents with the state and/or federal courts
- Opening files and processing conflict checks
What experience we are looking for:
- A minimum of five years of legal assistant experience in a large law firm or corporate setting
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Construction litigation experience highly preferred
