Position: UX Writer
Position Type: Temporary to Permanent (approx. 6 months)

Hours: Business Hours
Salary Range: $57/hr. - $75/hr.
We have a job opening for a UX Writer in NY, NY. This role is with a well-known and prestigious financial institution. This UX Writer/Content Designer role will work closely with UX design, marketing, product, and research partners to adapt and refine platform driven language, so it aligns with the company’s brand voice, user expectations, and regulatory considerations during the transition.
What you will be doing:
- Help ensure clarity, consistency, and confidence across critical banking experiences
- Write and refine UX copy across converted online banking experiences (labels, instructions, system messaging, confirmations, error states)
- Collaborate closely with designers to integrate content in workflows
- Adapt vendor provided language to improve clarity and reduce confusion
- Apply voice and tone standards consistently across the converted experience
- Support content audits and updates tied to platform and feature changes
- Participate in reviews, usability testing, and iterative refinement
- Help reduce user friction and support trust during the conversion
What experience we are looking for:
- 3-5 yrs of experience in UX writing
- Strong understanding of user centered content for transactional flows
- Experience collaborating directly in design tools such as Figma
- Ability to balance usability, brand voice, and compliance considerations
- Excellent writing, editing, and cross functional communication skills
- Experience writing for third party or white labeled platforms
- Familiarity with the Q2 digital banking platform
- Financial services, fintech, or regulated industry experience
- Service design or end to end journey experience
- Experience supporting platform migrations or conversions
