TIG Welder
More Information & ApplyQualified Staffing is currently in search of a TIG Welder for a manufacturing company in Lithonia, GA! This is a full-time, DAY SHIFT, temp to perm position!
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $22-$24, Based on Experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welds aluminum, steel and stainless-steel parts with TIG welding equipment.
- Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench of floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks.
- Select torch, torch tips, filler rod and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of metal being welded.
- Connects regulator valves and hoses to gas cylinders and welding torches.
- Adjusts regulator valves and performs welding operations.
- Examines welds for bead size and other specifications.
- Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or spatter.
- Cleans and degreases parts as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- One year certificate from college or technical school
- 1+ years related welding experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical components, blueprints, and layouts
