New Hire Starting Salary Range: up to $22.00 per hour, to start (After hire, pay increases can be earned, see below).

Purpose
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) serves as an essential clinical partner within a bustling family practice setting, delivering comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. This professional manages the dual demands of high-volume patient flow and precise clinical support, executing vital front-office logistics alongside critical back-office responsibilities. From managing rapid morning walk-in clinics to performing point-of-care diagnostics, phlebotomy, and immunizations, this role is key to maintaining strict infection control and delivering compassionate, efficient care.
Responsibilities
- Patient Triage & Flow Management: Greet and accompany patients to examination rooms, organize efficient clinical flow during high-volume sessions, and accurately capture comprehensive medical histories, chief complaints, and baseline vital signs.
- Clinical Procedures & Phlebotomy: Perform precise venipuncture/phlebotomy, execute EKGs, and process Level 1 routine laboratory screenings. Safely administer scheduled injectable medications and vaccines under direct physician supervision.
- Physician Assistance: Prepare specialized family practice instruments, configure clinical examination rooms according to strict procedural protocols, and provide direct hands-on support to physicians during outpatient examinations and minor clinical procedures.
- Infection Control & Room Maintenance: Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock exam and procedure rooms between patient encounters. Maintain detailed records of scheduled equipment maintenance to ensure strict infection control.
- Front-Office Coordination & Triage: Manage phone lines with strong professional etiquette, deliver pertinent patient education as directed, verify insurance coverage, schedule follow-up appointments, and manage precise electronic medical charts.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain absolute confidentiality while documenting all clinical notes, data, and lab updates within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in strict alignment with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and Department of Health standards.
Minimum Essential Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Formal Education: Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
- Professional Credential: Must hold an active, valid national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Technical Compliance: Exceptional multitasking abilities, strong computer skills, and an advanced understanding of medical terminology, diagnostic tracking, and treatment room operations.
Preferred Assets: Previous professional Medical Assistant experience in a high-volume outpatient, primary care, or family medicine practice is highly valued.
