Shift: Day/Evening Rotation (A combination of daylight shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, and evening shifts, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM)

New Hire Starting Salary Range: $22.56 – $24.95 per hour (After hire, pay increases can be earned, see below).
About the Opportunity
This is a permanent, full-time career opportunity within a specialized Sports Medicine outpatient rehabilitation facility. Purpose
The Sports Medicine Physical Therapist Assistant delivers high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions in strict accordance with the plans of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Operating within a fast-paced sports medicine environment, this professional guides patients through corrective exercises, monitors biomechanical responses, and recommends treatment modifications based on real-time clinical progress. This role is essential for driving patient recovery, optimizing functional outcomes, and maintaining high productivity and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Intervention & Treatment: Implement individualized therapeutic programs developed by the Physical Therapist across diverse age groups and athletic backgrounds, modifying exercises dynamically based on patient response and medical status.
- Collaboration & Feedback: Partner closely with the supervising Physical Therapist to provide comprehensive updates on patient progression, recommending adjustments to the overarching plan of care as clinical conditions evolve.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain meticulous, timely, and compliant electronic medical records of all clinical services, progression tracking, and functional outcomes.
- Administrative & Billing Accuracy: Complete statistical and charge information accurately to reflect the therapeutic services rendered, strictly adhering to facility and regulatory compliance metrics.
- Frontline Supervision: Direct and oversee clinical support staff and therapy volunteers in accordance with the state Physical Therapy Practice Act and facility guidelines.
- Patient Navigation & Logistics: Escort and transport patients safely, comfortably, and professionally via prescribed transport methods as operationally required by the clinic.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain treatment areas in a clean, orderly, and highly safe manner. Schedule patient tracks effectively to meet or exceed established facility productivity standards.
- Professional Engagement: Actively participate in staff meetings, continuous clinical development programs, and multidisciplinary facility committees.
Minimum Essential Requirements
- Formal Education: Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) / American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), holding an Associate Degree as a PTA.
- Experience: A strong background in orthopedics or sports medicine, prior clinical outpatient work, athletic training, or professional personal training experience is required.
- Technical Compliance: Thorough knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, sports medicine protocols, and standard therapeutic modalities. Proven ability to provide exceptional, patient-centered customer service.
- Certification Requirement: CPR certification required based on American Heart Association (AHA) standards—must include both a didactic component and a hands-on skills demonstration component—within 30 days of hire. Must possess or clear all mandatory state background checks.
- Operational Flexibility: Ability to work a alternating schedule of morning and evening shifts and rotate through designated treatment areas as operationally required by the facility.
