Position Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials within the warehouse, production, or distribution facility. This role supports efficient operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, reach truck and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and products
- Inspect forklifts before and after use and report maintenance or safety issues
- Verify product quantities, labels, and documentation
- Transport materials to designated locations according to work orders
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid forklift certification Osha or Pic Card
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Previous forklift, reach truck or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand work orders, labels, and safety instructions
- Basic math and record-keeping skills
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to work in warehouse conditions, including heat, cold, and noise
Work Schedule/Pay
- Full-time
- 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. or 2:00 P.M. – 10:30 P.M.
- Pay $18.00 - $20.00
