Shipping Material Handler- 2nd Shift

Debbie’s Staffing is recruiting for a Shipping Material Handler for our client located in Kings Mountain, NC!

Description: The primary function of this position is to offload full cases of finished goods, palletize cases, wrap and transport pallets to the staging area and load trailers according to the loading plan.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 2:30pm-10:30pm however must be able to work up to 10-hour shifts. Weekend work including Saturday and/or occasional Sundays may be required.

Pay: $18/hr for hours worked during the week. $20/hr for hours worked on the weekend. Weekly Pay! Temp to Hire!

Essential Functions:

Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
Off load full cases of finished goods from stock, belt/conveyor, or staged area to be palletized, scanned, and count verified.
Transport completed pallets to shrink wrap or staging area with pallet jack
Shrink wrap the completed pallets to secure the product to be shipped.
Transport cases to the loading dock or shipping belt by hand or with a hand cart.
Load full pallets onto trailers by hand, with hand card.
Change out shrink wrap rolls, perform general housekeeping duties.
Other duties as assigned

Successful Candidate Qualifications:

Must have Forklift Experience.
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time for 8+ hours.
Must be able to bend, reach up to 18”, pinch, grasp, turn and twist.
Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull up to 30lbs.
Must read, write, and communicate in English as it related to the job and to the safety regulations.
Must be able to process basic math computations.
Must have attention to detail and work well with other departments and individuals.
Must wear all required PPE and safety gear.
Must be reliable and dependable.
