General Labor-Sheet Metal with Bandsaw and Grinding

Job title: General Labor – Sheet Metal (Bandsaw & Grinding Experience Required)

Job Summary:

Our client in Rosville, MI is currently seeking a dependable General Laborer with experience in sheet metal fabrication, specifically operating a bandsaw and performing grinding/deburring. This role supports production by preparing materials, finishing parts, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate bandsaw to cut sheet metal to specified dimensions
Perform grinding, deburring, and smoothing of metal parts
Assist with basic fabrication and material preparation
Read tape measures and follow work instructions or prints
Handle and move materials safely throughout the facility
Maintain clean work areas and follow 5S standards
Support production team with general labor duties as needed
Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements

Qualifications:

Previous experience with bandsaw and grinding required
Background in sheet metal or manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Comfortable working with hand and power tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred Skills:

Experience with deburring tools and finishing techniques
Basic blueprint reading a plus
Familiarity with fabrication shop environment

Pay: $16

Shift: 1st shift
