Indirect Sourcing Procurement Specialist

TeamSoft IT Solution’s client is looking for a contract Procurement Specialist. This position is remote for a payment processing company.

Procurement Specialist Job Summary:

You will leverage your advanced procurement skills and strategic thinking to competitively source indirect spend categories. Your expertise in supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation will drive cost reduction and exceed organizational expectations. You will manage the entire sourcing lifecycle from market research to contract execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial goals.

Competitively source indirect spend categories, including human resources, payroll/benefits, marketing, advertising, learning and development, software subscription services, professional services, contract labor, and market data services.
Engage with strategic suppliers and apply industry knowledge to achieve cost savings and risk mitigation.
Draft, negotiate, manage, and execute various contractual documents such as non-disclosure agreements, master service agreements, statements of work, sales orders, letters of intent, and purchase orders.
Develop commodity and services-based sourcing materials, including playbooks, templates, best practices, and market research for team sourcing events and internal knowledge sharing.
Liaise with non-technical business personnel and department leaders to understand and source functional and financial requirements from current and prospective suppliers.

Procurement Specialist Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
5-7 years of experience sourcing primarily indirect non-technology products and services.
Advanced procurement skills including the development and management of category strategies, RFP/RFI development, contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship lifecycle management.
Strong understanding of risk mitigation principles and various cost evaluation methods (TCO, ROI, Payback Period).
Extensive experience in business strategy development, business case writing, market intelligence research, and negotiation strategy and tactics.
Advanced contracting skills with knowledge of contracting principles, laws, regulations, and industry standards.
