Job Description

UCP Staffing is looking for knowledgeable and safety-conscious Electricians to join our team in Saint George. We have openings for Journeyman or highly skilled Apprentice-level electricians to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Key Responsibilities

Installation: Install and layout electrical systems, including conduits, wiring, lighting fixtures, and electrical panels.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
Blueprints: Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics to ensure proper installation.
Compliance: Ensure all electrical work meets local and state building codes and NEC standards.
Safety: Adhere to OSHA safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaboration: Work alongside other trades and project managers to meet construction deadlines.

Qualifications

Experience: professional experience in electrical construction or maintenance.
Licensing: Current Utah Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license is preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuit layout, and pipe bending (EMT, Rigid, PVC).
Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Tools: standard set of electrician's hand tools and have reliable transportation to various job sites in the Saint George area.
