Punch Press Setup / Operator

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Wage: $23 - $29 per hour (Depending on experience and shift)

Hours:

1st shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Thursday
2nd shift: 4 pm - 2:30 am, Monday - Thursday
Weekend shift: 6:00 am - 6:30 pm, Friday - Sunday

Duties of the punch press setup / operator:

Perform setups on punch presses using progressive, single-hit, and compound dies
Diagnose and resolve tooling issues with progressive dies, stage tooling, and temporary short-run setups
Calculate shut heights and confirm accuracy of setups
Install limit switches, safety chains, and light screens
Submit first-article pieces to QA for approval
Install and verify all safety guards
Assist in training and certifying junior die setters and operators

Requirements of the punch press setup / operator:

Minimum of 2 years of punch press setup experience
Ability to collaborate with Toolroom and QA teams to resolve tooling or quality concerns
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
