Wafer Fabrication Technician

Join a growing semiconductor manufacturing team as a wafer fabrication technician! This hands-on role focuses on operating, maintaining, and optimizing thin-film deposition and etch processes in a cleanroom environment. Location: Saint Paul, MN

Wage: $70,000 – $85,000 per year

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

Duties of the wafer fabrication technician:

Operate and maintain semiconductor deposition equipment (evaporation, sputtering)
Run and optimize etch processes, including RIE
Develop and improve thin film deposition and etch recipes
Monitor process data to ensure yield and quality control
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain cleanroom standards and safety practices

Requirements of the wafer fabrication technician:

Hands-on experience with deposition (evaporation/sputtering) and/or etching tools
Understanding of process control and yield improvement
Cleanroom experience preferred
Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, or similar process improvement tools
Knowledge of thin film materials and characterization techniques
