Manufacturing Engineer

This exciting role will be responsible for maintaining production, creating tooling, optimizing procedures, and improving manufacturing processes efficiently and safely. A solid understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing process improvement will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Arlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of aerospace components. Responsibilities:

Continuously evaluate, maintain, and improve the manufacturing processes efficiently and safely.
Create technical documentation including process specifications, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Continuously create studies with lean manufacturing in mind to reduce costs and time to manufacture.
Design material handling systems and workstations to improve manufacturing processes.
Design tooling to continuously improve the repeatability and quality of manufacturing processes.
Multitask and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Assist with technical troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
Assist with the sourcing of necessary tools, tooling, and equipment.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.) is required.
5+ years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
5+ years of relevant process improvement and lean manufacturing is required.
Proficient with using 3D CAD Software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Enovia, etc.).
Proficient with using ERP Systems (Syteline preferred).
Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings, manufacturing principles, CNC machines, tooling, and geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) is preferred.

Salary Range:

$80,000-110,000+ depending on experience.
