Manufacturing Engineer
This exciting role will be responsible for maintaining production, creating tooling, optimizing procedures, and improving manufacturing processes efficiently and safely. A solid understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing process improvement will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Arlington, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of aerospace components. Responsibilities:
- Continuously evaluate, maintain, and improve the manufacturing processes efficiently and safely.
- Create technical documentation including process specifications, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Continuously create studies with lean manufacturing in mind to reduce costs and time to manufacture.
- Design material handling systems and workstations to improve manufacturing processes.
- Design tooling to continuously improve the repeatability and quality of manufacturing processes.
- Multitask and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assist with technical troubleshooting of equipment as needed.
- Assist with the sourcing of necessary tools, tooling, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, etc.) is required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
- 5+ years of relevant process improvement and lean manufacturing is required.
- Proficient with using 3D CAD Software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Enovia, etc.).
- Proficient with using ERP Systems (Syteline preferred).
- Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings, manufacturing principles, CNC machines, tooling, and geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) is preferred.
Salary Range:
- $80,000-110,000+ depending on experience.
