Safety Representative
Location: Austin, TX 78754
Pay: $25–$27 per hour
Schedule: Five days a week, 8-hour shifts
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Safety Representative to support safety operations in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in safety roles and possess strong communication, documentation, and auditing skills. This position requires regular interaction with technicians, engineers, management, and work inside cleanrooms, sub-fabs, and areas involving hazardous chemicals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce safety procedures across semiconductor maintenance and operations.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and documentation to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with engineering and technician teams to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Support safety initiatives related to equipment troubleshooting, chemical handling, and facility operations.
- Utilize EHS systems and reporting tools to maintain accurate safety records.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Safety Representative or in a related safety role.
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Detail-oriented with solid documentation and audit capabilities.
- Comfortable working in cleanrooms, sub-fab environments, and hazardous chemical areas.
Technical Knowledge:
- Semiconductor process tools (etch, implant, metrology, CVD, lithography).
- High-purity gas systems, chillers, and scrubbers.
- Chemical delivery and waste systems (CDS, acid/solvent lines, PCW systems).
- Facilities equipment (pumps, exhaust systems, chillers).
- EHS software: Velocity EHS.
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- IPCS/Factory Control Systems.
Certifications:
- OSHA 30 and/or LOTO qualification preferred (can be obtained after onboarding).
