Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain advanced control systems that drive operational efficiency and reliability. This role involves leading projects, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in control system design, programming, and troubleshooting, along with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain control systems to support production and operational needs.
- Analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and integration.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices (UL508A, NFPA 79, NEC, IEC).
- Prepare documentation, including wiring schematics, input/output lists, and technical reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Controls Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in control system design and maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in control system software, programming, and analysis tools.
- Ability to read and create equipment wiring schematics and input/output lists.
- Knowledge of ACAD Electrical and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with UL508A, NFPA 79, NEC, and IEC codes and standards.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, and squat to inspect and troubleshoot equipment.
- Comfortable using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
