A healthcare office is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join their team in a long-term role. This position focuses heavily on insurance claims, appeals, and denials, and is ideal for someone with recent hands-on billing experience who is detail-oriented and dependable.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process medical insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner
- Handle appeals and denials to ensure proper reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims with insurance carriers
- Review EOBs and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate patient and billing records
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and requirements
- Support general billing and administrative functions as needed
Qualifications
- Recent experience in medical billing and insurance claims processing required
- Strong background in appeals and denials management
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, claim forms, and reimbursement procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Reliable, professional, and committed to long-term employment
Pay: $18–$20/hr DOE
Shift:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
