General Laborer

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is looking for General Laborers for our client in Binghamton, NY. In this position, you will be responsible for safely pouring, forming and finishing surfaces of poured concrete forms using hand tools or power tools including floats, trowels and screeds.

Responsibilities

Safely and properly spread concrete into sections of forms using rake or shovel.
Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
Remove rough or defective spots from concrete and patch holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound.
Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with people under high stress situations.
Assist with material handling and job site cleanup.
Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety procedures
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others.
High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Work independently and stick to a deadline.
Stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift heavy objects when needed.
Additional onboarding requirements as requested.

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $20/hour though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
