Quality Control Manager

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is looking for a Quality Control Manager for our client in Binghamton, NY. This position is responsible for manufacturing processes that will produce products that meet required product standards. This is a key position that is accountable for results, with minimal guidance, in the assigned areas of responsibilities. This position will be responsible for developing strategies, priorities and directing implementation in the assigned areas.

Responsibilities

Ensure operation run in a status of control and finished good product conforms to required specifications.
Monitor and reduce production downtime and product waste in operations area.
Oversees quality and recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimal performance.
Performs inspections in a thorough, methodical, and accurate manner, and taking the appropriate actions based upon the quality systems procedure manual and the acceptance and rejection criteria of the control documents.
Ensure timely and adequate delivery of supplies to the line.
Communicates all pertinent information between departments and between shifts on changes to specifications, equipment, production schedules, problems or any other related information.
Assist in meetings with crew lines, as needed, to discuss quality opportunities
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

3-5 years of Quality experience within a Manufacturing environment.
Prefer experience maintaining equipment, installations, maintenance, and repairs
Knowledge of quality principles, methods, systems and processes
High school diploma or GED.
A demonstrated experience where quick-thinking and problem solving plays a critical role
High degree of organization and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Work independently and stick to a deadline.
Stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift heavy objects when needed.
Additional onboarding requirements as requested.

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $20 – $25/hour though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
