NW Employment is partnered with a local construction plastic accessories company in Canby, and we are looking to add a Production Lead to join our team!
Shift- Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm
Pay- $20-$24/ DOE
Production Lead with outstanding knowledge of production processes and systems, as well as excellent multitasking abilities. The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing their team, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and safely while maintaining the highest quality standards. The Lead will coordinate tasks, manage schedules, and troubleshoot minor issues to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. This position will work closely with all levels of management and employees to ensure safety and promote our safety culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of materials needed for production.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Train new production staff and provide ongoing coaching to existing employees to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement projects, utilizing methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma to increase efficiency and reduce cost.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience as a production lead or a similar position preferred.
- Working knowledge of production operations and management.
- Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to train, influence, motivate, and lead others
- Bilingual
Physical Environment
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Capability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
- This position may require various physical activities, including but not limited to walking, standing, bending, stretching, and using hands and fingers to grasp, push, and lift items.
