Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate in Griffin, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth logistics flow—receiving, inspecting, staging, and dispatching materials accurately and safely. In a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate job you’ll be responsible for:

Receiving and inspecting incoming materials, verifying quantities, quality, and condition against purchase orders or shipment paperwork; document discrepancies or damage.
Unloading and loading trucks safely and staging materials for production or shipping.
Preparing outbound shipments, including accurate picking, packing, labeling, and staging; create or update necessary documentation.
Managing inventory records, scanning or manually logging receipts and shipments, participating in cycle counts, and supporting inventory reconciliation.
Coordinating with carriers and internal teams, scheduling pickups/deliveries and communicating status, delays, or issues to production, or purchasing departments.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, offering input on process flow, reducing shipment errors, and improving warehouse efficiency .

What you’ll need:

Previous shipping and receiving experience.
MUST have steel toe boots.
MUST pass a drug screening.
MUST pass a tape measure test and math test.
MUST submit to a background check.
Must have manufacturing experience. Metal production is a PLUS.
Attention to detail.
Must wear PPE in warehouse floor.

Perks:

Great starting pay depending on shift!
We offer 3 different shift hours, all in a Monday - Friday schedule.
1st shift - M-F 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM. (18.50 an hour)
2nd shift - M-F 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM. ($19.00 an hour)
3rd shift - M-F 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM ($19.50 an hour)
We provide PPE except for steel toe boots!
