Positional Overview
We are recruiting for a Corporate Lean & Six Sigma Black Belt to support a growing and dynamic team within a leading manufacturing organization. This role offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance operational excellence, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious strategic goals.
As a key leader, you will participate in long-term and mid-term strategic deployment processes, facilitate lean and Six Sigma projects, and implement enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives. Role & Responsibility
Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
- Participate in long-term and mid-term strategy deployment processes, including facilitating annual Hoshin Planning.
- Facilitate annual Value Stream Mapping and Value Chain Mapping events to support strategic and budgetary planning.
- Lead the selection, prioritization, and planning of Lean & Six Sigma projects and kaizen initiatives across business functions.
- Develop, coordinate, and manage Lean & Six Sigma training plans aligned with annual targets.
- Lead high-impact Lean & Six Sigma Black Belt projects (~$500K+/project) and facilitate the deployment of the company's Production System (SPS).
- Coach and certify employees through White, Yellow, Orange, Green, and Black Belt programs.
- Define, track, and report key KPIs and metrics for Lean & Six Sigma program success and maturity growth.
- Establish and manage dashboards, workflows, and systems to monitor project benefits, certification tracking, and operational progress.
- Provide coaching and support for root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CA) across sites.
- Benchmark best-in-class Lean & Six Sigma practices and identify opportunities for innovation.
- Support site teams in improving asset utilization, safety initiatives, product quality, and process design.
- Assist with supplier and customer quality initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Safety, Product Engineering, Sales, and Operations to enhance operational efficiency and product innovation.
Skills & Experience
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- Bachelor's degree required; Engineering discipline preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a Process Improvement, Quality, or Operational Excellence role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an organization with a recognized Lean & Six Sigma culture.
- Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience leading large, cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated success managing initiatives in a matrix environment.
- Proficient in Minitab with experience teaching others.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Hoshin Planning, PDCA, A3, and Six Sigma DMAIC methodologies.
- Experienced facilitator with outstanding organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI, and Business Central.
- Ability to drive change management, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver results under time constraints.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Certification preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred.
- PMP or Prince2 certification desirable.
