Receiving Associate - Temporary: Dixon, Illinois

Our customer in Dixon, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Receiving Associate on 1st shift, this is a temporary position. As a Receiving Associate you will be responsible for handling, sorting, and processing inventory efficiently and safely to support daily operations.

Responsibilities of the Receiving Associate:

Unload containers and trailers with items up to 5 feet in length and up to 50 pounds.
Use a handheld scanner to receive inventory and ensure accurate data entry.
Operate a conveyor system to transport and sort materials.
Lift, move, and sort inventory onto skids or designated areas in the warehouse.
Handle skids weighing up to 40–50 pounds and assist with large item movement.
Potentially train to operate a forklift or powered material handling equipment.

Receiving Associate Requirements and Qualifications:

Manual dexterity to operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and powered walkies.
Ability to stand for extended periods (8–10 hours/day) and perform repetitive tasks.
Capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 500 lbs. using equipment.
Comfortable with frequent bending, twisting, and physical labor in a warehouse setting.
Able to move safely and efficiently throughout the facility on foot.
Willingness to learn equipment operation and follow all safety protocols.

Pay for Receiving Associate: Starting at $17.19/hour.
