Bender Operator - 2nd Shift

Bender Operator: Machesney Park, Illinois

Our customer in Machesney Park, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Bender Operators to work full‑time on 2nd shift. As a Bender Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating bending equipment to form metal parts according to specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Bender Operator:

Set up and operate bending machines, including press brakes.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurements to determine bend sequences and specifications.
Perform quality inspections on finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Load raw metal materials into machines and unload finished components.
Operate forklifts or overhead cranes as needed to move materials as needed.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures and work instructions at all times.

Bender Operator Requirements and Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
1–2 years of experience operating bending, press brake, or similar machinery preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay for Bender Operator: $18.00–$20.00/hour.
