Shift/Pay Rate: Monday – Friday with some Saturday’s (5am to 3:30pm): $30/hour

Responsibilities:

•Maintain plant facilities and buildings, perform ground maintenance

• Learns to inspect, locate, and diagnose mechanical defects on production equipment and facilities

• Learns to install and service a variety of equipment, including motors, pipelines, valves and other types of stationary machinery, and equipment; assists with the more complex installation, servicing rebuilding, replacement, and maintenance of equipment

• Learns to use and uses mechanic’s tools, welders, plumbing tools, and machinist tools to fabricate, rebuild, strengthen, and maintain various parts and pieces of mechanical and electrical equipment

• Assist in fabricating, assembling, and installing special structures and equipment as needed

• Repairs and replaces pipes, valves, fittings and other related equipment

• Works in confined spaces, indoors, outdoors, and at elevated locations

• Operates lift trucks, aerial lifts, and other hoisting and lifting equipment safely

• Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned

• Must follow safety principles and practices

• Must have knowledge of general methods, tools, and equipment used in mechanical maintenance and repair work

• Must have knowledge of the general principle of proper tool usage and mechanical maintenance

Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Stable work history
Pass background check and drug screen
