Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Contract Accounting Clerk (Heavy A/P)
Location:
Downtown Portland, OR (includes parking)
Requirements:
You have a minimum of two years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience. Experience with Time & Billing software a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy.
- Date-stamp, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system.
- Prepare, process, and file daily and weekly check runs.
- Post recurring journal entries and miscellaneous expenses.
- Reconcile the bank account spreadsheet to the daily recap and accounting system.
- Process employee expense reimbursements.
- Match, enter, and reconcile credit card transactions.
- Review account activity upon request.
- Procure parking or transportation passes as needed.
- Enter miscellaneous expenses (e.g., postage).
- Collect vendor W-9 forms and assist in annual 1099 preparation.
- Prepare and process annual bar dues.
Billing
- Import costs into the accounting system.
- Process daily deposits as needed.
Month-End Closing
- Generate, distribute, and file monthly management reports.
